Information for Ninja Training Team and Homeschoolers
Hello Ninjas and Ninja Families,
When we started Fitset Ninja in 2018, we had big plans and ambitious goals. Our plans were, and still are, to be the team that brings ninja as a mainstream, legitimized sport to the entire country. From day 1 we’ve been working tirelessly in pursuit of that goal, but, like many small businesses, we hit a slight road block early last year when the pandemic began. For the past 15 months our team has adapted and used our creativity to navigate the ups and downs, closings and reopenings, and challenges and difficulties this time has brought upon us all, so we can provide the best possible ninja training to all of you. We’re so grateful for the understanding and flexibility you’ve shown us as we’ve navigated this past year together. While we are ecstatic to finally see an end in sight after the recent announcement of the provincial reopening plan, we still have one more month of restrictions to make it through. Your support has been invaluable throughout this time and is truly what has kept us going. That’s why we’re reaching out to you with one last request to help us get through this final month.
Our original training team and homeschool season was scheduled to run until mid-June; however, neither the current nor new June 1st restrictions coming into effect allow us to continue classes this season. Therefore, we are officially ending the current season early, but are thrilled to say we will begin training again in July! (more details on our summer season plans will be announced in the coming weeks)!
While we are still preparing our announcement for our summer season plans, we are asking you for a huge favor. If you are in a position to allow your final June 1st payment to go through as scheduled, you can help us get through the final month of restrictions before being able to reopen for the final time in July. The full amount of your payment will go directly into your account as credit on top of any existing credit you may have acquired over the year. If you are not able to assist us by letting this final payment go through, please reply to the email sent to you today (May 28th) before June 1st to let us know, and we will cancel your payment. A reminder email will be sent the day before renewal.
Now to the fun stuff. You may be wondering how you can utilize your new June 1st credit (or existing credit you already have), and you’re in luck! We have some amazing opportunities throughout June as the province starts to open up and restrictions begin to ease. Here are some of the ways you can use your credit:
Ninja Park and Ninja Birthdays
Earlier this month, we converted our entire parking lot into Edmonton’s first and only, outdoor ninja park! The Park has been booked solid nearly every day, and it’s been great to see many of you out here already continuing your ninja training journey on the outdoor course. Though currently limited to individuals or households, beginning June 1st when Stage 1 of the provincial reopening plan comes into effect, the Ninja Park will be available to book for up to 10 people at a time. So, not only can you come to play and train in the park with your friends, but you can also add a coach to your booking for one-on-one or small private class training. Additionally, we’ll be offering a super ninja birthday party package at the Ninja Park. For all those with upcoming birthdays, or those who didn’t get a chance to properly celebrate a missed birthday over the last year, now is the perfect time to make up for it!
Summer Camps
With the new reopening plan, we’re right on track to begin our summer camps in July. We have week-long camps running every week this summer with your choice of either a morning or afternoon session (or both). Our camps have sold out for the previous two summers (yes, even last summer during the pandemic) and are already at 50% capacity with the remaining spots. We’ll likely be selling out soon as people begin making plans for the most enjoyable summer ever!
Indoor Classes and Open Gym
Beginning approximately June 14 in accordance with Stage 2 of the province's reopening plan, we’ll be able to begin offering limited capacity indoor training options again! These classes and open gym sessions will be a great opportunity to get back into indoor ninja training and prep yourself for the start of our official ninja training team and homeschool gym classes beginning in July. More details on these classes/sessions, as well as our summer season, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Ninja Swag
We’re working on some super secret and limited edition ninja swag that symbolizes our collective overcoming of the many, many obstacles we’ve all faced this year. This will be a one-time collectors item available to order in late June and will serve as a celebration of your resilience, hard work, and commitment to the ninja mindset.
Last but not least, we just want to reiterate how grateful we are for your cooperation and support during this extremely challenging time. To say thank you, we want to do something special. For those who choose to let their final June 1st payment go through, we’ll provide you with tickets to the most amazing ninja party you’ve ever been to! Later on this year, once the province has fully reopened and there are no more restrictions, we’re planning to celebrate in a BIG way and throw a fantastic party here at our facility to celebrate! Tickets will be available for purchase closer to the date of the event, but those renewing their June 1st payment will be provided with complimentary tickets for your family as our way of saying thank you for your generous support.
As a final note, we understand that everyone is in different financial situations at the moment, so just as a reminder, if you do not want your final June 1st payment to go through, simply reply to the email sent to you today (May 28th) and we’ll cancel the payment. If, on the other hand, you are in a financial position where you are comfortable and happy to donate any of your credit (existing credit, all or part of your June 1st renewal credit, etc.) then we would be incredibly grateful for that too. Either way, no matter what your decision is, we’re thankful to have you as a part of our ninja family and look forward to seeing you again very soon! :)
